Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè (/ˈroe/ /ˈrèsa/ [permanent] [zoo]) is a subtropical Small Town located in the G̈mthêldèthêkè Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was founded by Grîd Trîyë, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè receives an average of 86 cm/y (33 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 4 km² (1 mi²), and an average elevation of 10690 m (-7877 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 13th century in winter of the year 1207, by Grîd Trîyë. The establishment of Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Grîd Trîyë pushed on reguardles, and Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè is buildings have been located at convienant points along the gorge Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the spacious baked earthen streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè's exceptionaly well made fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè is like a look into a broken heart. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need. It’s not malicious. Heads are hung. Eyes are empty. Something truly horrible happened here once upon a time and the town never healed.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè, but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Roe-rèsa Dêtîkè's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.
